INDIANAPOLIS—Whipping his head around in a double take, local man Dean Wilson was reportedly starstruck Tuesday after spotting Caitlin Clark with her Indiana Fever teammates at the Greyhound bus station. “Wow, it’s a good thing I snapped a photo of her at the vending machine, or else no one would have believed me,” said Wilson, who was stunned by his good fortune to spot the NCAA all-time leading scorer and WNBA No. 1 overall draft pick peeling the wrapper off a honey bun as she and the rest of the team waited for their bus to begin loading. “It’s not everyday you see a celebrity at the bus depot. I would have figured the team would have sprung for something a bit fancier, like a Megabus, but what do I know? I can’t wait to tell my parole officer about this.” At press time, sources confirmed Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever had boarded their bus for an 18-hour journey to New York.
